DISCOVER BRITNEY – SONG OF THE WEEK – SHOWDOWN – EDITION 3

Welcome back to another edition of ‘Discover Britney,’ where we highlight Britney songs that were not released as singles. This way, you can share a song a week with people that have not yet had the chance to hear flawless tracks from Britney’s albums. Spread the word!

If you are an avid Britney stan, you will know that almost every track from a Britney album (in an ideal world) should have been released as a single. So many people have been deprived of some of the most timeless tracks and we feel that they should be heard. Join BritneyGalaxy (link below) on Spotify, where we will add one track a week to our ‘Discover Britney’ playlist. Your gym playlist is set for life!

SHOWDOWN

In The Zone is arguably Britney’s best album, but then again so is Blackout. It is completely unfair to ask a Britney fan to choose a favourite between these two classic albums. When it comes to ‘In The Zone’, there is not a song on the entire album that did not deserve the single treatment. The music was way ahead of it’s time. So why, ‘Showdown’ as our first choice off the album? Well, simply because, ‘Breathe On Me,’ ‘I Got That Boom Boom’ and ‘Touch Of My Hand’ are well known already. The more we talk about it, the more we wish this was a full visual album with every song released as a single…

‘Showdown,’ is just a pure pop masterpiece. With Britney’s signature breathy vocals and an abundance of sex appeal – this song just makes you want to get down and dirty! When the album was released, the lyrics of the song did raise a few eyebrows as the press still expected a sweet and innocent teen Britney, instead they got a grown up and confident woman, that was not shy to speak her mind. Britney’s song writing skills prove yet again, that she can completely hold her own in writing pop masterpieces and as Justin Tranter recently said, she clearly does not get enough credit for it. The ‘bubble’ beat ensured that this song was completely fresh and grabs you attention at first listen. From the same team responsible for Toxic, it was inevitable that this song would be a smash hit. ‘When you come, don’t get too hot,’ we sure will try…

Best Lyrics: ‘I don’t really want to be a tease, but would you undo my zipper, please?’

Songwriters: Britney Spears, Cathy Dennis, Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, Henrick Jonback

Producers: Bloodshy and Avant

PLANET BRITNEY – YOUR WEEKLY BRITNEY SPEARS FIX – EDITION 43

Welcome back to another week of Planet Britney, where we summarize all things Britney related from last week into one easy and simple post, perfect for those of you who just simply do not have the time to catch up on Britney news every single day.

HOME IS WHERE THE MONEY IS…

If you have a spare $8.9 Million dollars lying around, you can be the owner of Britney’s stunning Thousand Oakes mansion!

No, Britney will not be homeless! No need to worry! She has already snapped up a hot new mansion fully equipped with full length mirrors for sexy selfies:

A big drive way to show off her wheels:

And lots of space for hairstylists for those days you want a perfect braid:

We have to say, we will miss the old house so much, it did after all give us the amazing People Magazine shoot and some flawless Britney Jean album artwork shots, but we are loving the new house just as much! Talking Britney Jean, check out this new snap that leaked online this week:

Ahh, the great memories. Check out a timeline of all of Britney’s houses by clicking HERE.

PIECE OF ME IS BACK!

This has us so excited for B9…. Eeeeek! Pure perfection!

THE ALBUM OF 2016:

We have been waiting…. and waiting… for what seems like forever, for any news regarding the release of B9. The Barmy were out in full force finding out any additional info we could get and the answers were pretty much exactly the same…

Nothing new here Mr Mustard…. We need more, like track details, release dates, some snippets… throw us a bone! Then there were interviews… Justin Tranter gave us a little more new info:

Can you tell us about working with Britney Spears on her new album?
It’s been such a cool experience. Her voice is just so special, yeah, and she’s a very underrated writer. That girl’s melodies!

You have read that correctly, B is part of the writing team for B9! Can the album be released already??

And then all of a sudden, out of nowhere… this happened:

Say WHAAAT? We do not like to get excited too early, but Robin has been pretty spot on with his Britney news recently, so we have to say he is a pretty reliable source. Could we have new music information within the next 24 hours? We will have to wait and see….. If you need us we will be here at HQ’s clicking refresh on Britney news all day… In the meantime, let’s keep watching the ‘Oops!’ video, it has been a while since our last certification:

That is all for this week y’all, hopefully next week we will have lots of new B9 news for you!! We are soooo excited!

CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF S&M – BRITNEY SPEARS AND RIHANNA

Today marks the 5th year since the release of Rihanna and Britney’s iconic number 1 collaboration, ‘S&M.’

Unfortunately no official video featuring both Britney and Rihanna was shot, much to fan disappointment, although the remixed collaboration did help the single hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard hot 100!

‘S&M,’ was released as a fourth single off Rihanna’s album, ‘Loud.’ After the release of the single (album version), Rihanna asked her followers on Twitter about a potential collaboration and Britney Spears was the most popular choice. After a few teases on Twitter between the pair, the song was re-released featuring both artists, catapulting the single to number 1 on the charts.

The remix was only released as a digital download and radio airing. There is no physical copy of the single for either promotional or commercial release.

Did you know that this is only the fourth female collaboration to top the Billboard charts? Only the following collaborations managed to do so before Brit and Ri-Ri:

1979 – Barbara Streisand and Donna Summer – No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)

1998 – Brandy and Monica – The Boy Is Mine

2001 – Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, Mya, Pink and Missy Elliott – Lady Marmalade

The CD single available to purchase online is not an official copy, it is an amazing fan made version, that even includes bonus stickers!!

Celebrate with us by watching the iconic Billboard performance:

Oh what we would do for another collaboration! We loved everything about this and we desperately need a B and Ri video! Happy Birthday S&M!

Trey Cudlip Meet and Greet Story with Britney Spears! #PieceOfMe @britneyspears

meet 2

It’s spotlight time on the Britney Army!

Today we are featuring our spotlight on Britney Army member,Trey Cudlip, who is sharing his meet and greet story with us. Check out his awesome story on meeting Britney:

This was something I honestly never thought would happen. I never thought it would be in reach growing up. I saw the show in August, which was the one Buzzfeed wrote about being her comeback! So in the fall I noticed they added a second package so I called the VIP box office and asked if I could do the VIP experience but have a ticket in the pit, and they said yes! So I was pumped to meet her and be in the pit for the show! I saw the show February 24th. I will say it was the most surreal moment of my life, I met up in the group at 6:30 and the security took us to met Fe! Fe is so sweet and friendly. She took us on stage and gave us inside info on the lighting and the crew. We saw props and hung out in her quick change and I stood right next to her wardrobe which the sizes are SO small. They told us how they bought the beeds and jewelry on the clothes from a discount jewelry store and the designer and Fe glue them on haha. I strudded down the runway feeling like Brit haha. We also were able to touch the Me Against the Music wall! Once the tour was over we sat in the audience chairs awaiting Britney, but I gave Fe a present for Britney which is a blue birthstone necklace with the initial B due to our birthdays being a day apart, mine the 3rd. She nicely took the present to Britney. Once they were ready they took us outside backstage in the ally which seemed odd haha. They gave us the rules which were no touching. Fe also gave us a talk saying “Britney is shy and she feeds off your energy and how you act, and say what you want to say, if you want to tell her she helped you from the bottom of your broken heart, do it!” Hahaha. So we got in line and pit all our stuff like cellphones, wallets and spiky jewelry in a TSA type box and they said they’d give things back after. Also men could not gave hands in pockets. So I awaited in line nervous and worried I’d have an anxiety attack ha. I turned the corner to the backdrop after AJ and Kevin from the backstreet Boys took a photo with her and stood by me with Larry and chatted! It was my time and I turned the corner and she said in a shy little voice “hi I’m Britney” put her arm around me and we took the photo. After I took her hand like a weirdo and in a wobbly voice said ” I just wanted to say thank you, you helped me through the suicide of my mother with your music and my anxiety, thank you so much for what you do.” She followed with ” aw, god bless you, thank you.” The show was great, and after I saw Zac one of her dancers hanging out outside the theater, we took a photo and started saying “the new set” and before I could finish he said “it’s better, isn’t it!?” So I ranted on about how elegant and sexy the moves are for TOMH. and BOM and he agreed! Overall the best experience of my life!

Thanks for sharing your story with us Trey! We are glad you had an awesome time!
