On December 10, 2013 Britney released her second single “Perfume” off her eighth studio album “Britney Jean”. The music video was directed by Jospeh Kahn who previously directed “Stronger”, “Toxic”, and “Womanizer”. Homegirl trusted Jospeh with directing “Perfume” music video and said:
“We’ve had a lot of success together & there is nobody I trust more with this super personal song”
Britney has said that “Perfume” is one of her most personal songs. The song is built around themes of jealousy and suspicion in a relationship. Britney revealed that the song was about one of her ex boyfriends.
In the music video for “Perfume”, Britney stars as the “other woman” of her love.
