Thanks to ALL the women out there that are empowering women on a daily basis… you make the world a better place ❤ #internationalwomensday
Happy 16th Birthday to Britney’s Crazy 2K tour. The tour was a continuation of her ‘…Baby One More Time,’ tour to support her debut album and also her follow up, ‘Oops! I Did It Again.’ The tour started on March 8 2000 and ended in April of the same year, before moving on to her, ‘Oops! I Did It Again Tour.’
The tour was sponsored by Got Milk? And Poloroid.
The set list consisted of nine songs, seven from, ‘…Baby One More Time’ and two yet to be released songs from, ‘Oops! I Did It Again.’
The show was recorded and broadcast on Fox and a DVD called, ‘Live and More,’ was released.
Backstage footage to the show was shown on, ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show.’
Britney announced the tour on MTV’s TRL on 17 December 1999, alongside the premier of her, ‘From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart,’ music video. Britney announced that this would be a continuation of her current tour and also a prelude to her future world tour.
The ‘Got Milk?’ media director, Peter Gardiner, commented on the reason for sponsorship stating, ‘Britney is magic with teen-age girls and that’s an absolutely crucial target for milk. Britney shot an advertising campaign that was shown before her performances began. Britney’s second sponsor, Polaroid released the ‘Polaroid I-Zone’ as the official camera of the tour. Britney used the ‘Polaroid I-Zone throughout the tour to take pictures of the audience to further promote the tour.
The set of the tour was similar to the, ‘…Baby One More Time,’ tour, however it was a lot bigger. There were many special effects, including smoke machines and fireworks that erupted during the show.
The screen was set to resemble a giant magical mirror from the 1937, ‘Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs’ movie. A magical carpet was also used, which set Britney 100 feet above the audience.
Jae-Ha from the Chicago Sun-Times said that Britney, ‘’showed why she has a leg up on blonder competitors such as Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore,’’ claiming that Britney just had the ‘It Factor.’ Critics and fans praised the show.
Britney was praised for her open approach to fans and spending hours chatting and taking photos with fans before and after the show.
The Queen of fragrances spoke about her latest perfume called, “Maui Fantasy”, to Scents Blog:
We all know that perfume by Britney Spears is hugely successful, and with a bottle of Britney Fantasy selling every 22 seconds in the UK, the savvy businesswoman, pop icon and mum of two knows what notes we’re all going to love.
Maui Fantasy Britney Spears is her latest limited-edition launch and her 19th perfume! Yes, that’s right – Britney has blazed her way through the perfume world, winning awards and being bestsellers for over 10 years.
So what’s the inspiration behind the latest perfume launch from Britney Spears? It turns out that Maui in Hawaii is her favourite holiday destination. ‘Whenever I have a chance to relax and spend time with my family, we escape to Hawaii. Maui is one of my favourite islands,’ says Britney. Here, Britney chats to us about what’s inspired her new perfume launch…
What’s your inspiration for Maui Fantasy Britney Spears Limited Edition?
I wanted to create a fragrance that gives me the amazing feeling I have while I’m there – surrounded by the ocean and beautiful flowers. Every time I smell Maui Fantasy, it brings me back to a place of happiness and relaxation.
How is Maui Fantasy different from your original Fantasy fragrance?
It has a similar structure to the original Fantasy fragrance, but this time we included more tropical notes, juicy fruits and lush flowers. It smells like paradise in a bottle.
When do you wear it?
Maui Fantasy is my go-to vacation scent, but I also wear it whenever I need a little pick-me-up. It reminds me of all the wonderful moments I’ve had with my family in Hawaii, and as soon as I smell it, I feel relaxed.
Tell us about the bottle design. How is it reflective of the scent?
The fragrance and the bottle design are inspired by Maui’s natural beauty. The blue bottle matches the colour of the ocean, and the bright pink floral design represents the hibiscus flowers that grow on the island.
What do you think your fans will love about Maui Fantasy – and what sets it apart from your past fragrance launches?
I have the most amazingly supportive fans! With each fragrance, I try to give them something a little different, and Maui Fantasy is like a vacation in a bottle. I hope when they wear it, they feel the same peacefulness and joy that I do when I go to Hawaii with my family.

We can all agree that Britney’s new Piece of me costumes are absolutely incredible but we always wondered who designed these fantastic costumes. Meet Soyon An:
She has worked with a number of big name talents such as Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, and Katy Perry, and now she’s bringing her masterful understanding of pop star apparel to bear on a number of new, custom-made pieces for the musical superstar:
Britney Spears seems to reaffirm her living legend status on a semi-daily basis — whether that means posting a Googled photo of corn on the cob to her Instagram, nonchalantly picking up abstract painting as a hobby, or dancing about in her bikini, proving her body hasn’t aged a day since “…Baby One More Time.” So, of course, when the singer decided to totally revamp her sexy Las Vegas show “Britney: Piece of Me,” she wasn’t going to do the new costumes halfway.
Britney’s stylist for the performance, Soyon An, has worked with a number of big name talents such as Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, and Katy Perry, and now she’s bringing her masterful understanding of pop star apparel to bear on a number of new, custom-made pieces for the musical superstar. First on the docket? Showing off that aforementioned killer bod. “There is a lot more skin showing in these costumes,” An told People exclusively via email. “We are also using more bodysuits than the previous iteration with a lot more stones and crystals …We wanted to create whole new worlds within the show for some of the new sections while giving new life to the sections that would remain intact from the previous version of the show.”
As to the reason behind this major change? “Britney wanted to take the costumes to the next level,” An says. “She looks better than ever and her body is in incredible shape. That means hotter, sexier costumes showing more leg, more midriff, more cleavage. The costumes on the new and improved show are the sexiest she’s worn.” One example: The green camo bodysuit with matching cape she wears, entitled “Dark Angel,” created by designer Nicolas Jebran, who tells PeopleStyle that “anything Britney wears looks amazing, so naturally it was easy to design with her inspirations and visions in mind. Being as creative as she is, we went back and fourth and came up with a gorgeous military look that opens the show.”
And then of course there’s her new black cutout body-con look complete with a sheer floor-skimming cape from LaBourjoisie, who tells PeopleStyle, “Working with Britney is like a dream. She is this generation’s pop icon.”
According to An, “[all] the designers did an incredible job of turning around from sketch to finish,” completing the entire process in a staggering 2 to 3 weeks. Not only that, but with all those crystal-encrusted looks and intense choreography, as you can imagine, accidents are bound to happen. But luckily, Britney has a team exclusively dedicated to checking her costumes each night post-performance, quickly repairing them for the next day of shows.
Finally, there’s also a brand new bodysuit from designer Bao Tranchi, the creator of that much-buzzed about Oscar gown worn by Ashley Graham as well as Gigi Hadid‘s super sexy AMA moment. Britney’s stylist insists, “If my body could ever be like Britney’s, I’m going to get [a Bao Tranchi bodysuit] for myself!”
While this set of designs and the body they cover are undoubtedly impressive, to say the least, the craziest fact of all about this performance? An says that the pop star’s fastest costume change happens in “twenty seconds max.” Britney, please teach us your six-pack-sporting, quick-change artist ways.
What do you think of Britney’s new costumes? Which is your favorite? Would you make the trip to Las Vegas to see this pop legend?
We are LOVING these new costume changes, keep them coming!
