With the sudden news of Britney appearing on “Best Time Ever” yesterday and our heads exploding with joy because of it, we seemed to have let one of Britney`s Instagram posts slip past us! Britney posted a video of Elias Phoenix playing the piano during her appearance on Ellen.
Britney aka Instagramney aka Fairyney aka Social Medianey has been very active on Instagram lately and we are loving it! Check out Britney’s latest post:
In 2004, Britney released her cover of Bobby Brown`s 1988 “My Prerogative” for her greatest hits collection “Greatest Hits: My Prerogative”. The song was a perfect choice for Britney. The song has attitude, a good hook and a strong message for the Britney Spears haters. And the video! The video was so sexy! Britney soaking wet on top a car, rolling around in bed sheets and Britney walking around in the sexiest lingerie ever! Think “Boys” Music Video, but the dark, sexy B-side version.
Britney would later go on to release “Piece of me”; her personal response to the negativity that comes with being in the public eye.
8 years ago something very ICONIC happened and it changed the game and slayed your entire life… Britney released her first single “Gimme More” off her fifth studio album “Blackout”. It was released on September 18, 2007 by Jive Records as the lead single from the album. This album was everything! It changed Pop music and Rolling Stone hailed it as one of “the most influential albums of this decade” and was also Britney`s first album to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Britney Spears’ critically acclaimed 2007 album Blackout has not only topped a million in sales but it is now the pop star’s only album to be added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame‘s music library and archives. The Hall developed the archive to be the “most comprehensive repository of materials relating to the history of rock and roll … in order to broaden awareness and understanding of rock and roll, its roots, and its impact on our society.”
“Gimme More” also gave birth to the legendary catchphrase “IT`S BRITNEY, BITCH.”
